An extraordinary example of late 19th-century Renaissance Revival craftsmanship, this antique suite is a celebration of colour, artistry, and intricate goldwork. Crafted in rich yellow gold, the collar necklace is composed of a series of finely detailed panels depicting birds amongst scrolling foliage, each richly decorated in vibrant green, blue, yellow, and orange enamel.
The necklace suspends an elegant articulated drop of matching design, creating graceful movement and remarkable visual presence. Reflecting the ingenuity of the period, the central panel and clasp are detachable and may also be worn as a brooch, offering exceptional versatility alongside its historical charm.
Accompanied by matching drop earrings echoing the same ornate enamel motifs, the suite embodies the romantic opulence characteristic of the Renaissance Revival movement.
